Confirmed Friends! Baby, the *28 Terror, has finally found a friend. Birds of one feather… 🙂
Baby was never close to any other cat after his “little sister” was adopted. It’s sad when those friendships are broken. In the case of Kitty, she was lucky to find herself a good home… but other pairs are separated because of human cruelty! Dusty – left alone after his mother was ‘removed’ and Jade lost her close companion Jake who was probably thrown from hight… cleaners found his body. Still wonder what happened to Onyx…. maybe he is with Pebbles now?
One of the first cats in the area to be sterilised. Now he is a part-time home cat not usually around for feeding.
Met a next block neighbour at the vet three days ago as I was picking up Doppelgaenger.
She has been feeding 2 kittens outside her door, Toby & Tosh…who were trapped (with some difficulty) and sterilized about a year ago.
Now Tosh, a Siamese mix, was in the carrier waiting to see the vet. Seems our Baby who migrated from 723 to 728 after Rocky moved in and attacked him several times, is now terrorizing Toby & Tosh.
Tosh has a lump at his belly, an infected wound inflicted by Baby, and high fever and was put on antibiotics. I came over 3 times to try and help them pill the cat. The first time he may have swallowed the pill before running off. The second and third time he escaped before I could give him the medication even though they had wrapped him in a towel. The vet suggested that they bring the cat over every day with no charge…hope they will do that. He seems better now and is eating well. He certainly can run and jump again…
When I left, Baby was outside the door growling at the other cat who was trying to hide in the shoe rack. What a big bully our Baby has become…
Last week Rocky and Baby had a big fight. It was around midnight when I heard the screaming. I panicked and ran down to scare them off. Of course this didn’t work as they are not scared of me… It looked rally bad, they had each other at the neck, so I pulled Rocky off. His fangs sliced deeply into my thumb… should have grabbed a towel or blanket to throw over them, or a bottle of water… Well, let’s hope I have learned my lesson 😉
They had another fight 3 days ago and I took Baby in to protect him and let his wound heal.. released him today. Rocky seems to be the aggressor. He has a wound at the neck and another one at the base of the tail. I apply antibiotic powder once a day and its healing nicely.
All this is actually my fault. I started to feed Rocky at my door to keep him safe and away from the cars (he was accused of scratching cars). Now I don’t know how to solve this problem. Rocky spends all day sleeping in front of my door although we try to ignore him and only feed him at night at the next block. How do I get him to stay there and stop fighting with Baby?
