Orange Boy home

They had to attach the catheter again as OB was not peeing. He doesn’t like to be caged… but no choice as urine is constantly dripping from the catheter. I let him out for a short while and he went straight to the (well-used) scratching post. The vet says he needs to be on prescription diet for at least 6 months to change the pH. Luckily he likes the dry version.

  1. When OB has diarrhoea It just keeps flowing because of his loose anus! Gave him two charcoal tablets and syringed boiled water. First I thought the catheter was blocked but later the urine started flowing again and the flow of poo slowed down. Me also sick and vomiting… what a day! Cats were not fed until evening but they understood and never complained ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. OB had his catheter removed today.. to see if he is able to pass urine. I pray hard that he does… because if not he will need a permanent opening at the side of his body to release urine! The vet explained that the blockage is deep inside near the bladder… probably caused by trauma or previous catheterizing.

  3. Helga will acupunture help? If i recall correctly, OB was not able to poo and urine previously but recovered after acupunture ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I don’t think so because this time it’s not a nerve problem but an abnormal narrowing of the urethra. No pee so far ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
