I was worried when the adopter called saying that Ladyblue (now named Miki) had been vomiting after her meals. The vet gave antibiotics and something to stop the vomiting. Today her food stayed in so hopefully she is getting better.
Damy is much better… now eating on his own and purring and his ears have lost that yellow tint 🙂
Maxiejane noticed that Tomy had Chinese medicated oil all over his back and also on his head. She wiped off as much as possible.. but the smell was still very strong.
Later we gave him a bath and also syringed some water and gave him the liver-support formula. This stuff is probably very toxic to cats and it gets absorbed through the skin. I wonder who would do such thing and was it done out of ignorance or with the intention to harm the cat…
Winny is still missing. She is from the same block as Sophus. She would always come running and meow loudly… hungry or not.
Sarah needs a home
Anyone wants to adopt me?
Sarah is about 5 to 6 months old and has been sterilised.
According to a resident of blk *28 she was dumped yesterday at *27 by a Chinese woman who had carried her in a plastic bag.
No choice had to take her back and hope the vet can squeeze her in tomorrow…
She is pretty… white with some ginger patches on her head and a short ginger tail. I think not more than 6 month old…. but could be pregnant.
Applied Revolution two days ago and transferred him to the balcony yesterday. He looks lethargic and has not been eating since yesterday and I think he has a temperature…
Gave him Vibravet today and also tried to syringe some Nutri-gel and water. He put up a struggle and then went to the water-bowl to drink on his own…
I thought that Nushi might like this thing as she loves brushing with that little round comb from Pasar Malam. Borrowed it to try it out for a few days. So far she seems not interested but Ashley is inspecting it…
Here is a larger version of the brush thing : http://meowies.multiply.com/journal/item/1178/Cat-it
Nushi gets pampered… this is her feeding station on the bed and she get special treats and snacks when she has poor appetite.
Have to continue with sterilization… but unable to house the females so I will have to get the males done first as they can stay in the carrier until being released the same night. Some caregivers release the females after one day but I have never done that…
Hansel (brother of Gretel) had to wait a long time for his turn. Thankfully he is a good and quiet boy… I have already stereo sound from Rocky and Yoyo.
Sox was already tipped when he appeared at blk *21 Area 1. He is not too friendly. Sox must have injured his hind leg or back… his back was swaying as he walked and one of his hind leg seemed week. He was hungry enough to let me go near and grab him.
Wanted to transfer him to the cage but will have to let him cool down first…
Damy has been transferred to the balcony to make space for Sox.
Have removed Yoyo’s collar after he had poo on his body, paws and all around the collar for the second time. Hope without the collar he will be able to use the litter tray. Have applied some neem oil around his wound to prevent licking… hope that works.

Tiktak is missing from the same area where Sophus and Kitkat disappeared
… from the same location where Damy was taken!

I happen to be cat-sitting at this block again… and saw the same notice up again at the Town Council notice board of Blk *58, Ivy’s area. A mistake again? .. and strangely again only at this particular block! Ivy was also fed-up,saying that all the cats there are sterilised and the feeder is very responsible.
I was again assured that the notice will be removed.
A source of water for the community cats.
This water offering looked fresh and clean and since it is an offering to the gods no one will remove it 🙂
J said AVA refuse to release the sterilised dog because they claim that he is agressive. According to J this dog from Kallang area is actually very friendly and would not attack anyone. Some calls have been made and some people are trying to help…

Yesterday the feeder at *28 came to tell me about a cat on her corridor, saying that he runs into her and her neighbours’ homes… and that her husband threatened to pour hot water on him and other neighbors wanted to beat the cat.
I went over and and we managed to bring him downstairs. Late at night we brought him down again. He ran towards the school. Told the feeder to call me when she sees him upstairs again… must get him sterilised asap.
I wonder was he the one to be removed and Damy was taken by mistake? Some people describe a ginger/white cat as brown/white!
Ah Eng caught him and brought him to the vet this morning. He was still very drowsy when I picked him up.
Yoyo’s weight is about 5kg and the vet assistant told me he is a big cat and needs a 12.5cm collar… just nice same size as Billy Boy. His wound is starting to dry up.
Compared to Damy he is small-built 🙂

Ladyblue has been renamed Miki. She had a thorough check-up and was found to be healthy and young. The vet thinks that she probably has been sterilised but need to observe her…
Surprisingly she has ear-mites and the vet recommended another round of Revolution in 3 weeks time. I would have thought that Frontline plus Revolution would have killed everything?
Tuna has been renamed Chloe and is now on Litterkwitter training. The adopter believes that she was already halfway trained as she would look at the toilet but seemed scared to go and end up peeing into the sink.
Hopefully I will soon get a photo of Chloe on the loo 🙂
Maybe her two brothers will follow her example… one seems already interested.
Had not seen this cat downstairs for a long time… seems the owner has moved out and left him behind. A resident of *20 named him Yoyo.
Brought Yoyo to the vet today and he needs to take antibiotics for at least 10 days. He also has some mouth ulcers. Hope he will calm down…
Playing with the Cat-Dancer
The Feeding Aunty noticed a new cat that appeared hungry and lost near her home, which is quite far from where Damy was lost. The next time she saw him it was a few blocks away at *25 Area 2. Told Sylvia to check his ear because Damy’s tipped ear has a very shallow cut. She called me at 1am last night and confirmed that it was Damy. At first she thought it was an unsterilized cat but then saw the tattoo in his right ear. I cycled down to get him…
I am glad to have found him…but now it’s confirmed that Damy had been “earmarked” for some reason, photo was taken, chances are he will disappear again!
To leave him at Area 2 would also be very risky as he had not settled and the Aunty saw him only sometimes. He also seemed quite happy at his old place in front of blk *28 and safe from cars as he did not go to the car-park.
All I can do is to keep Damy in for a short while hoping to get him adopted…if not he will have to be returned… after getting a proper ear-cut!
Lady Blue will be going to her new home soon. Have just applied the Revolution…

This is the latest abandonee… seen at area 1 Blk *23
Bunny has a wound at the front of his neck. Tried to trap him yesterday but he wouldn’t enter the trap even though he was hungry. Bunny was already weary of me so Sylvia finally gave him his food and managed to quickly apply some powder while he was eating.
Damy went missing yesterday
About a week ago Q saw saw a man taking photo of Damy… at around the same time I heard that a resident of that block had complained to TC that there were too many cats.
I was worried about Damy but has no space to take him in. I called the TC just to let them know that Damy is sterilised and tipped…. because he has a very shallow tip… my mistake as I wanted to give him a better chance to get adopted. The TC officer told me that they had not received any complaint.
If the food doesn’t come up the cat has to go down… at least halfway 🙂
Roxy had teary eyes for a few days but was still eating well so I waited and observed. Brought her to see Dr. Kenneth today (kindly sponsored by Maxiejane). She has conjunctivitis and a ‘strange’ growth in one eye. She is now on medication and I will have to bring her back in 10 days time and see a specialist if there is no improvement.
Pinky is coughing a bit and has poor appetite. I had applied Revolution yesterday as his fur is still patchy…suspect fur mites. At first I thought the hair-loss was due to his malnutrition. Have to keep him a while to observe.
So house full again and had to cancel tomorrow’s sterilisation slot for Hansel.

Rex likes the RC Kitten kibbles.
The skinny ginger kitten named Rex from the same block has been missing for several days.
